Some pain shows up like weather. Other pain shows up like colorโspreading where you didn't invite it, changing the way you see yourself in the mirror.
Around Careziaspace, we call our community the Pack. And "Wolf Beans" are the people who keep showing upโeven when they feel bruised, tired, or unseen. This post is for the ones who've been wiltingโฆ and are learning how to rise again.
Below is the poem. I'm letting it sit in the center of the page, the way it was meant to.
---
> Purple green flowers
> Running down both my arms
> Like thorns on a pricey pear
>
> As I sit staring out from the window sill
> They force me to take the pill
> Even against my will
> To change the mind of what you have done
>
> Purple green flowers wilting
> Have now found the sunshine from within
> Never allowing you to enter again!
>
> Purple green flowers rise again
> Game over
---
Sometimes healing starts as a private decision: I'm done letting this live in me.
Not revenge. Not noise. Just a boundary so real it becomes a door that won't open again. *Never allowing you to enter again.* That line is the shiftโfrom surviving to choosing yourself.
In Cup of Joe with Jenn, Jenn โ Director of Connection says what so many of us forget in the middle of the storm: "To the moon and back, you matter." If you're still carrying the purple and green today, it doesn't mean you're broken. It means you're still here. And the "sunshine from within" isn't a sloganโit's that quiet light you protect, even when nobody else understands what it took to keep it.
Some days the flowers wilt. Some days they rise again.
